Is Your Mind Sabotaging Your Body?

David Godrey reveals something amazing about the Unconscious Mind

Is your mind sabotaging your body?!

I saw a really interesting piece of research recently done by Professor John-Dylan Haynes at the Bernstein Centre for Computational Neuroscience. What they did was they put a test subject in an MRI scanner so that they could monitor their brain activity. They then gave the subject a button to press in each hand. The subject was told to press whichever button they wanted at random.

The amazing discovery from this is that the MRI operator can predict which button the test subject is going to press, 6 seconds before the test subject themselves make a conscious decision as to which button to press. So the MRI operator knows which choice the subject is going to make before they know it themselves!

This is incredible and very powerful evidence that our unconscious mind has a hugely powerful impact over the choices that we make. The unconscious mind is like a big sponge which absorbs and runs programs.

If you find that you struggle to stick to your training program or that you sabotage your progress in some way, then you almost certainly have some unconscious processes running that are causing you to do that without you even knowing about it.

The point that I’m making is that most people try to improve their body using diet and/or exercise alone. And whilst these are the essential tools that are required to make those changes, you’re never going to get the success that you deserve until you have all your unconscious processes working together, in unison toward that common goal.

So the mental aspect of your program is just as important, if not more important than which diet or training program you follow. And crucially it is what is happening unconsciously outside of your awareness that matters.

Fortunately modern psychology enables us to re-program the unconscious using techniques such as NLP and hypnotherapy amongst others. We’ve proved that we can do this time and again and I’ll show you exactly how you can do that for yourself.

But first and foremost you need to be willing to accept that as well as training and conditioning your body, you also need to train and condition your mind with the same level of dedication and commitment.
