Top Tips for Summer Skin Care

The next few months will see hundreds of thousands of us packing up as we jet off into the sunset for our long awaited summer holidays. With this in mind we will all undoubtedly be spending long hours out in the sun. Whether sipping a cocktail on a beach or having a picnic in the park we will all be soaking up the rays one way or another. As lovely as this sounds it is very important to make sure you are safe in the sun and take as many precautions as possible because as we all know sunburn is no fun!

Here are Lorena Oberg´s top tips and hints on keeping your cool in the sun…..

Suncream

We all know that the harsh rays of the sun can damage your skin, so using sunscreen with a factor above 20 is a must for everyone that needs to go in the sun.  This is true even on your face during cloudy days!  Don’t be fooled thinking that if you stay in the shade you won’t be at risk of burning, the sun rays bounce off the sand and sea and can still give you a nasty burn. Yes you may want to achieve a healthy tan but be sure to limit your time in the sun to an hour or so a day. This will be enough to give you a healthy glow but will also dramatically reduce the risk of premature ageing and skin damage. I would strongly suggest staying out of the sun between the peak hours of the day!
