Overcome the Blues with this quick tip

We all feel down and experience a lack of energy from time to time.

Whether it's feeling unattractive or letting yourself slip into general negativity, the 'Blues' are something that effects us all.

Feeling down would normally manifest itself from the physical or mental state that we find ourselves in.

So, how can we help ourselves to overcome the ‘blues’?

The amount of times that people have said to me,
“I don’t know what it is, but I woke up today feeling down”.

My answer to this is, learn to think positive!

We all emit energy, therefore bearing in mind that the energy can be positive or negative we do actually have control. The trick is to bring it out of our subconscious into our conscious awareness.

How can this be achieved?

There are many ways this can be achieved, but I will describe the method that the majority of my clients have found to be beneficial.

First, go to a quiet place in the home where you cannot be disturbed.

Sit in front of a mirror approximately 18” away. Stare at your face in the mirror (don’t be shy, remember nobody is watching you).

Now cover the left side of your face with your left hand, whilst doing this study the right side of your face. Carefully look at the features of your face, (lips, mouth, eye, eyebrow, cheek, chin, ear etc). Study these and verbally acknowledge the parts of your face that you do not like. Do this for 5 minutes. Repeat this exercise with the other side of your face.

When this is done remove your hand from your face and look at your face in the mirror again. But, this time analyse your face commenting on the features that you do like. Do this for a further few minutes.

What we are doing is creating a positive energy by overcoming any doubts you may have had about your appearance.

Keep in mind that the golden rule is, if we emit negative energy, we will attract negative energy. So if we give out a positive energy, it means that we must be feeling positive on the inside too. This in turn, would mean we will attract positive energy to us.

Of course, there are many reasons why we should be feeling low, but next time try the above exercise. It just may make your day !
