Tips For Healthier Kids
GET ONE HOUR OR MORE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY EACH DAY!
I didn't achieve my physique by lazing around, make sure you lead an active lifestyle! I started my route to healthy success by playing football in the park with friends, going on bike rides and taking the dog for a walk. It's sociable, fun and you get plenty of fresh air!
Step to it! : I did this alot when I was younger and it's great for games like Pyramid taking out the contenders and general fitness!! Under the watchfull eye of your parent or guradian, take three trips up and down the stairs at home, alternatively do 20 step-ups on one.
GET 9 HOURS OF SLEEP EACH NIGHT
To get fit and strong, not only do you need to train and eat well but you also need to get plenty of rest! 9 hours of sleep a night ensures you are thouroughly rested enough for the following day, on your path to becoming a little Gladiator!
EAT FRUIT AND VEGETABLES AT EVERY MEAL
I was never keen on fruit and veg as a youngster but they are essential in leading a healthy lifestyle and making sure you perform your best! I eat atleast 5 portions of fruit and veg each day. One smooth move I made was to have fruit smoothies. They taste great, look great and are easy to make. You can even get involved and help mum or dad to make them!
DRINK PLENTY OF WATER, 100% FRUIT JUICE AND LOW-FAT MILK
To be on top form every day aswell as being physically ready, I have to be mentally ready. I drink 8-10 glasses of water every day, sometimes more if I'm training! Becoming dehydrated causes a 15% lack of concentration, but don't worry, fruit juice and low fat milk are also shown to be legitimate substitutes so if you can't manage to drink alot of water, have a glass of milk or fruit juice. You'll get a dose of vitamins and calcium to keep your bones strong!
