Kettlebell Exercise Program - Lunge with Twist

Where You Get the Benefit

This exercise works the legs, core and arms

Step One

• Start in standing position
• Feet slightly wider than hips
• Hold Kettlebell by horns in front of chest

Step Two

• Lunge forward with left leg
• Drop right knee directly to floor
• Bend both legs to 90 degrees
• Maintain upright body with core engaged

Step Three

• Push kettlebell forward in line with centre of chest
• Maintain slight bend in elbows

Step Four

• Keep kettlebell in line with centre of chest
• Rotate at the waist twisting over bent leg
• Look at the kettlebell as you twist over the front leg

Step Five

• Return to centre line
• Push up through legs to start position

Repetitions

Repeat on other side
Repeat sequence 8-10 times and gradually progress to 15-16 times
