As Famously Fit’s resident couple, Jenny and Wayne train together, live together and work together. They love nothing more than getting hot and sweaty together - in the gym!
In an attempt to encourage more couples to experience the joys of health and fitness together, as one, hand in hand, they are sharing their top 10-calorie burning couple activities.
What is a Calorie?
Many couples are concerned about dieting whether it’s for weight loss (women) or weight gain (men); therefore, you’re almost certain to come across the word "calorie". You may ask hundreds of people what a calorie is and most will tell you it is "the thing in food that makes me fat."
Calories have a bad reputation and are considered by many to be the enemy! Only true if you eat too many and don’t burn enough!
A calorie by definition is the ENERGY it takes to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water 1 degree Celsius. Calories provide essential fuel for our body.
Energy Burning Couple Activities

1. Kissing - 200 per hour
2. Weight training - 600 per hour
3. House work - 500 per hour
4. Skiing - 700 per hour
5. Gardening - 700 per hour
6. Wrestling - 1400 per hour
7. Jogging - 1200 per hour
8. Swimming - 1100 per hour
9. Dancing - 600 per hour
10. Sex - 600 per hour
