Famously Homme Stuart Baker - Weeks 1 & 2

Following Famously Homme through the first two weeks of making busy Executive Stuart Baker into a Lean, Mean, Fat Burning Machine

I’ve made it….. Apparently it gets easer from here!

Steve´s Punishment

2 weeks in and I’ve been to the gym twice per week and done 2 runs in order to stick to my 3 x workouts per week that personal trainer Steve (sadistic Irish rugby supporter who enjoys punishing me because Ireland have never beaten the New Zealand All Backs in rugby) has set for me and Emily to begin with!

To be fair to Steve (a great bloke really), he has bitten off a lot more than I reckon he can chew. The job of trying to make this 111 kg round peg fit into a 95 kg hole is not going to be easy. I know he’s up for the challenge though and he really is helping me be motivated for the challenge of losing weight and being healthier.

Powders and Pills

After 2 full boxes of powders, supplements, pills, t-shirts and shake drinks (courtesy of USN) arrived on our doorstep both Emily and I knew this would be the chance in a lifetime for us to start a new healthy lifestyle and be dedicated to losing weight and working hard with our exercise programme. Many thanks to USN – I don’t eat so much anymore thanks to those pills and shakes!!!

The Wicked Witch

Just as things couldn’t get any better our nutritionist Ann Mather (she calls herself the Wicked Witch) entered my world and had been through my 2 week food diary (pre Famously Homme). She is now offering me valuable dietary advise on what I should and should not eat and how to best compliment my healthier nutrition plan with the supplements we received. Great advise really because I am a typical bloke and don’t read instructions on the packets – being told what to do works for me! Thanks Ann. Ann’s advise has been so valuable in the initial stages of this programme – making small but effective and efficient chances to my diets.

The Enjoyment

After 2 weeks dedicating my life to a healthy lifestyle filled with regular exercise and healthy eating I can honesty say that I have begun to actually enjoy sweating like a pig In the gym and eating smaller meals without the odd beer accompaniment.

It helps so much doing this challenge knowing there are people dedicating to helping you and that with Emily by my side and doing this challenge with me I am motivated to ensure we both achieve our desired results.

Here’s to… fun in the sun…!
