Famously Homme - The Male Lifestyle Case Study Week 14

Following Famously Homme through the 14th week of turning busy Executive Richard Curson into a Lean, Mean, Fat Burning Machine

Circuit training, 5k racing and shopping at Debenhams in Oxford Street with Lee. What a week it’s been for Famously Homme!

Personal Training – Circuit Training

Circuit training is completely new to me but I found it thoroughly enjoyable and full of variety so the work out was exciting and invigorating. It also boosts a tired week.

I did 3 circuits in this session (Each is about 20 mins)

10 minute Run 10 kph/ 1% gradient (Warm Up)
10 minute bike 94-100rpm/ level 7 (Warm Up)

60 seconds on each weights exercise on a race against time so it really gets your heart rate going and I was sweating like mad!

5k Run Race

Quick Tip!

Race against the clock to make running more enjoyable!

Steve set me a challenge to run 5K in less than 30 minutes by one month’s time, so I decided to try and do it straight away and sure enough I did and found that I could run faster than usual.

I am finding this a really good way of progressing with running and getting braver to run faster and faster. Running on a treadmill is quite daunting to begin with because you feel like you could miss a step and go flying across the gym and I am just starting to get over that but when I run faster a little bit of the nervous tension comes back.

Wednesday – 28.30 minutes
Thursday - 26.30 minutes
Friday - 30.00 minutes (I didn’t push myself)

Menswear Shopping @ Debenhams

Lee Latchford Evans hit the shops with me this week. We spent all our time in Debenhams on Oxford Street, to get kitted out for a charity engagement. We were absolutely amazed at the huge range of funky fashion available in the menswear department. Lee was impressed with Debenhams own brands and we both tried on everything from jeans to combat trousers, shirts to jackets and suits to shoes. It must be one of the best years ever for men’s fashion!

This was the moment that I dressed in clothes that fit me properly, after huffing and puffing in the mirror everyday because everything I try on is too BIG! You have no idea how good I felt! I was finally able to fit into a 32 waist trouser! And my jacket size is now 40! (previously 46)

I walked out with a Performance suit by Jasper Conran, it really slims me down and everyone said how good it looks on me – especially now I have lost weight. The cut is modern and stylish, the fabric is really luxurious and elegant plus really reasonably priced at just £199 in Debenhams menswear. Maybe I will look like this model one day soon!

Until next week
