Royal Ascot Anyone?

Everyone knows that Ascot is all about hats. Finding the perfect hat or fascinator can be a nightmare. Avoid wearing a bird´s nest on your head by following Kerry´s advice...................

If you’re attending The Royal Ascot Racing this June, you just know it’s going to be all about which hats and fascinators will go with your outfit.

Whether you’re opting for a classy little black dress or daring to wear red, finding that perfect fascinator or hat can be very tricky. After all you don’t want it to look like you’re wearing a bird’s nest on your head. I’ve managed to find some beauties on my ventures!

Combs and Swirls

My first is a fascinator by 2adorn. It has oversized meshed swirl detailing and sits neatly on a round base with a comb which makes it easy to apply and can be worn essentially on any part of your head, be it to the side or to the centre.

It even comes in its own box and I suppose you’d think that would be the case as it’s priced at £75. May sound a lot but you may well be paying for what you get with this one. It’s a truly beautiful piece.

Black Feathers

`

If something as bold as the above isn’t quite for you, then this fascinator, also by 2adorn, is probably more suitable. It’s a Black Feather Hair Clip Fascinator with a high shine black stone and gold detailing.

Priced at £35, this too comes with its own box. A key piece to add to anyone’s fascinator collection!

Top Hat

If a top hat style fascinator is what you’re looking for, this ASOS Premium Mini Top hat is stunning.

The contrasting cream and feather bow detailing is perfect if your dress is paler in colour. It’s also on an alice band which will ensure that it doesn’t fall off. I’d even use hair pins if you’re overly cautious! It is priced at just £20. Bargain!

Cherry and Orchid

To add a splash of colour to an outfit, I’ve chosen this striking 2adorn Purple and Cherry Fascinator with Tropical Orchid Flowers.

This has been cleverly attached to an alice band and is made mainly of satin. With a contrasting floral design it is priced at £48. It’s not for the faint hearted – but you’ll be sure to make a statement.

Crystals and Feathers

Thought I’d save the best until last, the ASOS Premium Net, Feather and Crystal Disc. This would look amazing no matter what colour dress you’re thinking of opting for.

And the price tag isn’t as hefty as you’d think either. At just £18 this is one fascinator that will never go out of fashion!

All of the above fascinators can be bought at (www.asos.com)
