Don’t Fret Over Sweat!

So you’re heading to the gym and you’re not too sure on what you should be wearing to cover up those “muffin tops” and hide those hideous sweat patches that, let’s face it, we all get, right?

Speaking from experience, when I know I’m going to the gym, I immediately reach out for those trusty black baggy trousers, black t-shirt or vest and wait for it, a black cap in case I’m having a bad hair day.

I have this strange thought in my head that if I wear black, it will hide all those insecurities I have about myself, including those dreaded sweat patches.

Well, I couldn’t be more wrong. I’ve recently gone on a “research” shop to see what materials hide signs of sweating and are also as far away from black as possible. Now, that’s not to say that you should stay away from black completely, after all, it’s the colour that goes with everything, so that could save you a few pennies in itself and black can also be quite slimming.

So, on my “travels” I shopped in some of the usual high street sports shops and picked out a few tops that I believe would eliminate the signs of sweat.

I then headed to the gym and did exercises that I knew would raise my heart rate and get me sweating. And to my astonishment, the cheap sports top that I purchased from a leading sports shop showed signs of sweat, but one top in particular did not show an ounce of sweat. That top came from Nike’s range called NikePro.

I believe this range has been out for quite some time, and is also worn by some of the top sports men and women across the world, including Arsenal FC, Manchester United FC, Tiger Woods and Serena Williams, to name but a few.

If it’s good for them, it’s good for us!? I’ve never really tried it until this day but I found that any colour, including grey (yes, I do believe I said grey but is known as Carbon Heather within the Nike range) also hides those ghastly sweat patches.

The top that really caught my eye for comfort reasons alone and of course, style, was the Nike Pro – Core Fitted Long Sleeve iD Top.

It costs £32.20. But what I love about it, is that not only does it keep you cool and dry but it can also be customised to suit everyone tastes.

You have the options of picking your desired colour, front icon, back icon and what graphics you would like on the sleeve cuffs. Quite the bargain at that price! You have the freedom to do anything you want with it.

So all in all, I’d say the NikePro range is definitely one to go for if you have sweating problems.

You can shop for this either at a Nike Store near you or online at http://store.nike.com/nikestore/web/language_country.html
