Meet Stuart Baker
Meet our new Famously Homme, busy Executive Stuart Baker, as he takes on the lifestyle challenge of being Famously Homme
Meet our new Famously Homme as he takes on the challenge to lose weight, tone up, completely change his nutrition and his life ……….! He wants to be able to play with his kids as they grow up.
Stuart Baker was born in the UK, but moved to New Zealand when he was young and lived there for 30 years. He is now back in the UK and is Head of Events working for our chosen Charity – The Outward Bound Trust (www.outwardbound.org.uk).

At the start of his challenge, Stuart weighs in at 17 stone 14 lbs (111 kg). But this is not just about losing weight, and over the coming months we will follow his journey to become a lean, mean, fighting machine just like busy Executive Richard Curson.
Like so many Brits these days, Stuart is an active sports watcher – he says he is amazed at just how fit he needs to be to flick between channels and race Emily to the door for the delivered pizza on a Sunday evening! He loves socialising – generally around dinners and has been known to have the odd heavy drinking session. He watches movies regularly in bed with Emily and is addicted to watching Jack Bauer save the world in 24. He is an Arsenal season ticket holder. He says that he does not like Spurs and Chelsea fans, people wasting time on Facebook talking to people that they don’t really care about, loud music in pubs, cooking, wedding TV shows, rush hour on the tube, and losing.
His main activity at the moment is trying to find some sun in the UK! But that was not always the case. Stuart has actually run 3 marathons and used to be a PE teacher.

He says that he has become so lazy and needs a new goal with someone (or several people as it will be) kicking him in the butt to get him focused again. He wants to become physically fit so that he can play sport again and play with his kids in the park (when they have them – and he says he cannot wait!). He has recognised that he is unhealthy and over 40, and needs to make some changes in his life so that he can have quality of life from here on!

Stuart knows it is going to be tough going! He says that his main challenges are going to be
• keeping away from the devils drink - LAGER (but it tastes soooooo good.)
• To exercise at least 4 times a week
• Keeping away from convenient foods – although he says that fast food just follows him around everywhere – Golden Arches here, BK there… KFC everywhere…!
• To say NO to beers and burgers at football matches… but again, they taste so good after a win over Spurs, Chelsea and Man U.
• No Pick’n Mix at cinema’s - arrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhh
He welcomes the ongoing support that he will receive from Famouslyfit.com and associated partners in this great challenge and hopes that his experience and stories will become an inspiration to others.
