It’s not just what we wear that makes a difference. Hair is key when it comes to looking the part for that special occasion.

Usually I don’t allow anyone, and I mean anyone touch my hair, but that all changed when I visited Andrew Bidwell at Atherton Cox in London.

I’ve always been one to try out new things and I’d recently thought about having hair extensions. Andrew advised me that the best, most natural and effective way to have them would be to use the new system that “WONDERFUL” are using (which is also used by none other than Lady Gaga herself)

Finding out that it doesn’t damage my hair, and that it was 100% natural hair, made it all the more appealing so I was quick to make a consultation with Andrew. He explained that these extensions can be tonged, straightened and washed, just like your very own hair. They are so intricately placed, there is now way of even knowing you have them in.

Even if you’re not too keen on the permanent extensions, they can also provide you with clip-in extensions specifically measured to your head for that perfect fit, this is great if you want something that is less permanent. Being in the sports and TV industry, our hair gets damaged! Can you believe that when we are filming on Gladiators, we have our hair washed and styled 5 times a day! Aesthetically, we have to look great all of the time but our hair gets damaged. It does not have the length or the thickness that we would like.

You don’t need to be an athlete or on TV to do damage to your hair. All of the following can cause damage to your hair:

Excessive brushing

Not Just One Colour but Three!

Being a blond is not as easy as its looks! As most of you probably know, our natural hair is always a mixture of slightly varying tones. So this has to be accommodated when my hair extensions were added – otherwise you would be able to see the difference. Just to be a little difficult, I presented with three different shades of blond. Andrew put together a miraculous blend of three: one light, one slightly ashier and one closer to my natural blond colour. The blend of the 3 gives a perfect match to my hair and makes the extensions undetectable!

Ease of use

The ‘Wonderful Hair’ is fantastic work with. I am constantly washing, drying, straightening, curling and doing other crazy things to my hair, but it just bounces back and remains in great condition. The small bonds themselves are matt free and are lying just as smooth and flat as when they were initially applied.

Here is the science behind the system
