The staff, immaculately dressed in white uniforms, they are clean and well groomed. You will only ever be spoken to politely and with a professional manner, which helps put you at ease when having embarrassing type treatments like waxing in tender and secret areas. The Champneys service is polished and professional.

My First Waxing Experience

Daunting experience to say the least! All I could think of was pain and visions of hair being ripped madly from my body and clumps of skin going with it… then passing out at the prospect of it. Even Martial-Artist Dave Gentry made me feel worse by telling me all sorts of terrifying stories – he says he was in awful pain when having his tummy waxed only a week ago. Can’t have been to Champneys then!

But hey hey hey, it was a doddle! Yes it was a bit scratchy but no pain as such. The other worry was the idea of being manhandled by gossip girls with big hair, big jewellery, long nails and super strong perfume – and possibly the stench of cigarette smoke – but that’s all ancient history and not how it’s done at Champneys.

At Champneys it was a refreshing bright experience because the staff are all in white coats and professional. You are put instantly at ease – so my first waxing at Champneys was very good indeed.

Oh the results, yes, I finished up with a chest and tummy as smooth as oil on ice – fantastic! Ultimately I could see all my muscles popping through that were previously covered up under all the hair! And I felt so much cleaner for it too.

I liked it so much I’ve been back 3 times already and those who know me know how fussy I am, that means this must be good.

Does It Cost A Fortune?

Before I looked into it I thought waxing was really expensive but Champneys do a fantastic job at just £15 for a chest waxing which I was really surprised about as I thought it would cost a lot more.

Male waxing is now just as accepted and popular as hot towel shaves and haircuts so guys there are no more excuses…
