Look Younger for Longer!

Louise Cliffe, Resident Swimwear Model, provides Top Tips on how to capture that elusive "Fountain of Youth" and hold onto that younger look for longer!

Throughout our lives, we all seek that miracle elixir which will hold off the inevitable aging process.

There are obviously hundreds of lotions and potions that you can use, but the sooner you start to look after your skin and body, the greater chance you will have to avoid sagging skin and wrinkles later in life.

Here are my top tips.

Start now..... it is never too late!

  • Stay hydrated – drink lots of water – and flush out all those toxins
  • Protect your skin from harmful ultraviolet rays – use minimum SPF15
  • Keep your skin clean – use a soft cloth and don’t scrub
  • Moisturise your skin every day
  • Eat healthily – know what and how to eat – don’t eat more calories than you need
  • Keep active – don’t go for a single day without 30 minutes of physical activity
  • Do Yoga for the face – it’s great fun!
  • Be happy – laugh a lot and think positively to trigger those endorphins
  • Go for a younger, carefree look – visit your hairdresser for a younger makeover
  • Try something new or wacky!
  • Wear colour to compliment your skin
  • Keep those pearly whites white – everyone likes a brilliant smile
  • Say “No” to facial hair (a man thing!) – takes years off you!
  • Lose the glasses – get contact lenses
  • Meditate for a few minutes a day every day – find time for you
  • Sleep well – and if you have difficulty go back to meditation, or try some herbal teas or aromatherapy
  • Sex after 50 – sex at middle age can be better and more satisfying
  • Live long and live happy!
